This pivotal role carries accountabilities for all sales activities and revenue generation across diverse formats, including Digital, Content, Global TV, Video, Podcasts, Programmatic, and social media, among others.The Vice President will be tasked with developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to drive revenue growth. This involves close collaboration with Regional Sales Vice Presidents, as well as Heads of Marketing, Planning, and the StoryWorks Content Studio.

We are seeking a visionary leader who can navigate the complexities of the advertising landscape and capitalize on emerging opportunities to deliver outstanding results. This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President of BBC Advertising Sales and holds a pivotal role within the senior leadership team steering the BBC's Advertising Sales Organization.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Drive territory revenue and cost management, consistently surpassing targets through effective oversight.

Develop and execute clear, strategic business plans tailored to the territory, ensuring target achievement for the region.Formulate and deploy growth strategies to propel revenue and profitability into the next phase of expansion.Serve as the company's foremost authority on the Territory, remaining abreast of pertinent media trends and cultivating relationships with senior management and decision makers.

Recruit, lead, inspire, and develop direct reports, cultivating a high-performing sales team equipped with the requisite skills to deliver exceptional results.Act as a prominent representative of the BBC within the advertising sales market, participating in relevant industry events such as panels and keynotes.Efficiently manage extensive information flows from agencies, clients, representatives, and internal stakeholders, ensuring the timely and accurate dissemination of information.

Effective Communication: Regularly engaging with all Ad Sales teams, fostering strong connections and facilitating collaboration:Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and updates regarding media plans, deliverables, performance, optimizations, and reporting.Internally, coordinate efforts among Sales, Ad Operations, StoryWorks, and Account Management teams to ensure seamless workflow and Project execution.Cultivate a robust network of contacts across the BBC, leveraging relationships to enhance communication and collaboration across departments.

Skills and QualificationsThe BBC is actively seeking our next Vice President of Advertising Sales for the East Coast region. This pivotal role entails comprehensive strategic oversight of revenue generation across our diverse range of products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in effectively managing and optimizing both direct and programmatic revenue streams across various digital, television, content, video, and audio platforms.

Additionally, they will lead a dynamic team of sales professionals stationed throughout the East Coast, ensuring the achievement of sales objectives and surpassing targets.The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven history of sales excellence, fostering deep connections within the East Coast's agency and client networks. They should bring a minimum of 8 years of experience in sales team management to the table.

Required Qualifications:12+ years of extensive experience in advertising sales, demonstrating a deep understanding of the industry.5+ years of proven success in sales management across a diverse media portfolio, showcasing effective leadership skills.Exhibits a consistent track record of driving revenue growth, consistently surpassing yearon-end goals.

Desired Qualifications:Employs a consultative sales approach, adept at creatively selling and delivering solutions with budget and on schedule.Display high levels of motivation and proactivity, thriving in fast-paced environments while effectively managing multiple projects and tight deadlines.The ability to develop, adapt, and execute strategies to achieve key business objectives, demonstrating strategic agility.

Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position is $225k-$235k. This does not include bonus or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and geographic location of the position.
